I envision this less as an in-atmo craft and more like a space-dock/high-orbit shipyard.
Maybe it floats near an asteroid mining colony or belt. It's far enough away that it's not getting pummeled by the tumbling space rocks, but it has gun batteries just in case it needs to repel drifting debris or pirates. Manned ore haulers, known as freight trains, line up and are drawn slowly in by tractor beams. Once the processed ore is off loaded by drones, the upper level factory sets to work building mining equipment, miscellaneous drones and bots, and even recycles ore containers and ships.
Larger vessels are beyond its manufacturing capabilities, but damaged craft can dock at any number of repair bays.
Ideally I like all the docking bays. It may provide an alternative to civilization that has a very focus social function. Which lead to this inspired tale, thank you for sharing.
OTR Douglas was fuel location for all the citizen relocation vessel. One of the three vessel the Republic would send when they want to collected occupational improvement citizens for their assets management. This was why I found the life in the wire. I knew I was going to need help to over come such odds. I want believe that a god would provide a balance in world gone so dark. President Pedro was one of many who selfishness agenda was destroying humanity.
If you're going for a more believable piece, you have too many landing/launching pads. Remember the carrier is going to need repair bays, storage bays, armories, fuel containers, room for crew, plus numerous other things.
I'm not sure you want aircraft landing in packs That could be really ungood if something bad happens.
I first thought it was a big truck on ice. Maybe should you add some clouds at the foreground so we could understand this is flying ? Or maybe shadows of the big ship on the clouds under it ? (sorry for my english).
Yes! I loves me some scifi, it's like drugs for me, I need MOAR! Seriously, looks awesome, I'm assuming the bright blue circles are like repulsers for lift? Man, I could see this thing flyin' along. Noice!
Instead of repulsers, I was thinking more like Scaled Quantum Entanglement Drives. Miniaturized entangled particles are suspended on a projected glob in the bridge. Move the entangled particles, move the ship as well.
Very very awesome. Now for the critique / suggestions. Please take them with a cup of tea. With all the detail on the the sides, I somehow feel that there's something missing on the roof. The perspective of the ship seems a little bit off, it looks almost isometric, I'm not an expert on huge things, but I think they need a certain dose of exaggerated perspective to make it appear even more huge. There also doesn't seem to be very much forgeround/background thing going on. I would suggest one plane in the foreground going in to the ship in a sort of curved motion form the side. Ow, and sunlight. They are above the clouds, so you could add sunlight with a bit more contrast between shadows and lit areas of the ship, and you can use it to play with cloud formations in the top left corner to bring in more visual cues to lead the eye to the ship area. As I said, take all this with a cup of tea, an keep up the good work.
